Step 1 of 3 · Whole-home water

How a dual-tank water softener and carbon filter treats your whole home

Every tap in the house gets water that has passed through two tanks, each with its own job. Water is filtered first, then softened.

1

Carbon tank

Reduces chlorine and chloramines, plus the taste and smell that come with them.

2

Softening tank

Removes calcium and magnesium hardness, the cause of scale and spotting.

Benefits of soft, filtered water you feel every day

Showers without the chlorine smell

Carbon reduces chlorine and chloramines, so hot showers smell like nothing at all.

Skin that feels clean, not tight

Soft water rinses soap away without leaving a hard-water film behind.

Softer, easier hair

Less mineral buildup. Shampoo rinses out and hair feels softer.

Less soap and shampoo

Soft water lathers more with less product, so every bottle lasts longer.

Less scrubbing

Less soap scum and fewer spots on glass, sinks and shower doors.

Protects plumbing and appliances

Less scale in fixtures, dishwashers and your water heater.

Step 2 of 3 · Drinking water

Reverse osmosis drinking water at your kitchen sink

A separate reverse osmosis (RO) system goes under your kitchen sink and feeds its own faucet. It adds treatment for the water you drink and cook with, at that faucet only, not every tap in the house.

Tankless RO

Compact. No storage tank under the sink.

Tank-style RO

Keeps filtered water ready in a small storage tank.

What both RO options reduce

Supplier sheets for both systems list reduction of:

TDS (total dissolved solids)
Lead, barium and cadmium
PFOA and PFOS
Chlorine and chloramines
Fluoride
Arsenic V
Nitrates and nitrites
Turbidity

Both supplier sheets display NSF/ANSI 58 and NSF 372 claims.

Faucets come in brushed nickel, matte black, brushed gold or polished chrome. We confirm which RO option fits your home on your call.

Softening resin, reverse osmosis and warranty details

As water passes through the resin, calcium and magnesium are swapped out for sodium. When the resin is full, the system regenerates on its own, rinsing it with brine from the salt tank. We use food-grade 10% cross-linked resin, which resists chlorine breakdown and outlasts standard 8% resin. You add a bag of salt every 6 to 8 weeks.
